By January 1, 2018News

January 2018— On December 21, 2017, Rep. Larry Bucshon (R-IN) and Rep. Scott Peters (D-CA) introduced the 340B Pause Act, (H.R. 4710) in the U.S. House of Representatives. The bill aims to prevent the enrollment of new disproportionate share hospitals (DSH) in the 340B program and prevent registration of new DSH child sites during a two year moratorium.

In addition, the bill proposes new reporting requirements on DSH, cancer and children’s hospitals and would make the data public on the Office of Pharmacy Affairs website. There is a specific emphasis on investigating indigent care.
